McKinnon and Forbes was first established in January 1994 by Bob McKinnon, then along with Andrew Forbes and John Harding decided to go it alone and started up our company as we know it today.

Shortly after that his son Steven joined the team along with Tommy Talloch, another mechanic.

In under a year of huge growth and hard work we then moved to our current premises at Clark Street.

We Also then took on a body repair side of the company at that point it was just the McKinnons that owned the business and Bobs other son Robert was to join in our quest for maximising our position in the industry.

Iveco shortly became our next venture and we took on the franchise of a Satellite dealership which is still in existence today. We now have 27 full time employees and have created a lot of local jobs and spin off suppliers and still pride our-selves on the fact that we are a family run company that still has all the original values and staff.
